USER SERVICES: In the case of emergencies, please contact the National RAYNET Duty Officer, on (Telephone): 0141 621 2121 (24 hours)
This 24-hour emergency telephone number is funded and manned by The Radio Amateurs' Emergency Network. Its purpose is to enable a User Service to contact a RAYNET group anywhere in the United Kingdom, through one central point of contact. It is not intended to replace local contact details, but rather provide a back-up to them. A duty officer on this number will pass details on to the relevent local group as expeditiously as possible.
The London Raynet Zone Co-ordinator is Mr. Phillip Williams (G6AQP). He can be reached by e-mail at philip.williams@raynet-uk.net.

New member recruitment...
We are aways looking for new members!
Almost anyone can become a RAYNET member, and if you have skills that we need, you'll find youself right in the thick of things, from the word 'go'. Naturally, Licenced Radio Amateurs tend to outnumber everyone else in the organisation, but there are plenty of jobs to go around!
So, whether or not you're a licenced Radio Amateur, we still want to hear from you; there are support tasks, such as Administration, computing (IT), and other technical and support tasks, that we can always use help with. You don't even have to be fully able-bodied; there are RAYNET members with disabilities, just as in the rest of the UK Population, and they get as much fun out of their RAYNET membership, as anyone else does!
Also, and while on the subject of licended Radio Amateurs, since the restrictions on Novice class Radio Amateurs were relaxed in regard to passing third party traffic (see your licence conditions Handbook, BR68(N)), we are more than happy to accept Novice licencees as well as Class A, AB, and B, full licencees, and non-licenced applications for membership - the more, the merrier! Please contact the group controller of your area!
